Cardio Room

Cardio exercise come in a variety and aerobics is one of them, so it may seem redundant that I have both Aerobics and Cardio listed here.

Here is a list of the top 10 Cardio exercises and a couple of them you can do here.

1. Running - Requires some good shoes and can be done almost anywhere. (Except in the school hall ways). It takes  practice and you can burn a lot of calories, especially if running uphill.   Seek advise if you experience foot, ankle or knee pains. Running can also be done in  the fitness center on a machine in case the weather is bad.

2. Cross-Country Skiing - This is a great exercise and you don't even need snow.

3. Bicycling - Put your legs to the pedals and burn those calories. If you don't know how to ride one, you can use a stationary bicycle in the fitness center.

4. Elliptical Trainer - For a low impact cardio workout that is easy on your joints and helps you lose weight and get in shape at the same time.

5. Swimming - OK, we don't have a pool here. With swimming, the more parts of your body you use, the more calories you burn. It's easy on your joints, because you're not doing high impact.

6. Step Aerobics - It's easy to learn and benefits your legs, butt and hips and burns calories. It can also be done almost anyplace but a structured class to get you started will help with the discipline.

7. Rowing - Canoes, Boats require water... then there are also rowing machines.

8. Rock Climbing - This is a much more difficult thing to do. Not easy like climbing the walls at work or at home.

9. Walking - Ok, this has got to be the easiest thing to do... except, if you want it to work for you, you have to walk at a brisk rate and take a few hills now and then.

10. Handball - Requires proper facility but it keeps you hoping side to side, up and down, forth and back... getting tired just typing this...

The more you flap your wings, the easier it becomes to fly.
